Translation Service Terms

These terms apply to the Crochet Pattern Translation service offered by WacommPatterns, operated by Wacomm LLC.

1. Who can order

You may order a translation only for a pattern you designed yourself, or one whose designer has given you written permission to translate it. When you order, you confirm this is true. We may ask for proof of permission before starting.

2. Patterns that are not yours

Translating a pattern creates a copy of the designer's work, which only the designer can authorise. If a pattern appears to belong to someone else (for example, another designer's name or copyright notice is in the file), we will contact you and, without permission, cancel and refund the order.

3. Copyright and ownership

You keep all rights in your pattern and its translation. We do not sell, share or reuse your patterns, and we do not use them to train any software.

4. Delivery

We email the translated PDF to your order email within 1–2 hours of your order. Very long patterns may take a little longer; we'll tell you if so.

5. What we translate

We translate the selectable text in your PDF and keep your layout, photos and charts. Stitch counts, round numbers and measurements are kept exactly as written. Words that are part of an image cannot be changed. Scanned or image-only PDFs cannot be translated and will be refunded.

6. Corrections and refunds

Each order includes one free round of corrections — reply to the delivery email with what to change. If we cannot process your file, or the order is cancelled under section 2, you get a full refund. Because each translation is custom work, completed and delivered translations are not otherwise refundable.

7. Your files

Your files are used only to complete your order and are deleted 30 days after delivery.

8. Copyright complaints

If you believe a translation we made uses your pattern without permission, email hello@wacommpatterns.com with the pattern name and proof that you are the designer. We will investigate, refund the order involved, and stop work for that customer on your patterns.
